Marguerite Uphoff, M.D.

Marguerite-UphoffDr. Uphoff entered medical school at the University of Minnesota and graduated with her doctor of medicine at age 24. She began her pediatric residency at Stanford University, completed it at Children’s Hospital in Oakland, and then spent a year in Accra, Ghana, where she served as a pediatric resident. She returned to California to earn a master of public health degree in maternal-child care at Berkeley and complete the second year of her pediatric residency, before moving east for her final year of residency at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. Dr. Uphoff, who is board certified in pediatric medicine, also serves as the medical director for the Ithaca City School District.

Jeffrey Snedeker, M.D.

Jeffrey-SnedekerDr. Snedeker graduated from Cornell University with honors and distinction. He earned his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin Medical School, where he did research on Epstein-Barr virus. He completed his pediatric residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and a fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at Duke University Medical Center. He held a faculty appointment at Duke for the next six years, teaching and studying virus-host cell interactions and respiratory virus genetics. Dr. Snedeker is board certified in both pediatric medicine and pediatric infectious diseases. He has a faculty appointment at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital as well as Weill-Cornell. Dr. Snedeker currently serves on the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a former member of the Board of Directors of Cayuga Medical Center.

Audrey DeSilva, M.D.

Audrey-DeSilvaDr. DeSilva graduated from Swarthmore College and joined Boston Children’s Hospital as a research assistant in pediatric hematology and oncology. She earned a master’s degree in human genetics and genetic counseling at the University of Michigan, and then worked as a pediatric genetic counselor at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. After graduating cum laude from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, she completed her three-year pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital at Strong in Rochester. Dr. DeSilva received a number of awards during medical school, among them the Dean’s Prize in Pediatrics. She is board certified in pediatrics and has a special interest in eating disorders.

Andrea Torrado, M.D.

Andrea-TorradoDr. Torrado graduated from Temple University and went on to attend medical school at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She did her internship at the A.I. Dupont Institute for Children at Thomas Jefferson University and completed her residency in pediatrics at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Dr. Torrado is board certified in pediatrics.

Timothy Harris, MD

Tim Harris 2Dr. Harris graduated from University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Psychology. While in Austin, Dr. Harris had the opportunity to work on a goat farm as well as an organic fruit and vegetable farm.  After spending time in Bolivia as a Peace Corps volunteer, Dr. Harris decided to pursue a career in Medicine.  He attended both medical school and completed his residency at SUNY Upstate Medical College where he served as chief resident in his final year of residency.  Dr. Harris is board certified in pediatrics.

Lindsay Tamborelle, M.D.

L Tamborelle 1Dr. Tamborelle graduated form Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Society.  Prior to attending medical school, Lindsay worked as a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Cayuga Heights Fire Department and was employed as an EMT at Bangs Ambulance in Ithaca. Dr. Tamborelle attended medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical Universty and completed her residency at Golisano's Chilrden's Hospital, both in Syracuse, NY.  Dr. Tamborelle was awarded several commnedations while attending Upstate Medical University for academic and clinical achievement. Dr. Tamborelle is board pending in Pediatrics.

Yonit Estrin, M.D.

Yonit EstrinDr. Estrin graduated from Yeshiva University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and attended medical school at Technion American Medical School in Israel where she received a certificate of commendation for excellence. Dr. Estrin completed her training and residency at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, New York and has been a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2012. Dr. Estrin is fluent in Hebrew and is Board Certified in Pediatrics. 

Nina Pegram, PNP, IBCLC

Nina-PegramNina received her Master of Science in Nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree from Rutgers University. While completing her Masters, Nina took a special interest in vaccines and vaccine education including strategies to increase immunization rates. In addition to training as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Nina has previous experience as a Registered Nurse within Neonatal Intensive Care Units in D.C. and New Jersey. Nina has achieved International Certification as a Lactation Consultant and is licensed by the State of New York as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

Kathleen J Murphy, RPA-C, IBCLC

Kathleen-MurphyKathleen completed her physician assistant training at LeMoyne College in Syracuse where she was awarded the Most Outstanding PA student Award. She has been practicing as a PA since 2004, in the fields of emergency medicine and pediatrics. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Kathleen worked for several years as a paramedic. Since joining Northeast Pediatrics, she has studied breastfeeding medicine and has achieved her international board certification as a lactation consultant. Kathleen is credentialed at Cayuga Medical Center and provides lactation consultation to new mothers within the hospital setting.

Katherine Rudert, FNP, CLC

Katherine "Kathy" Rudert, FNP earned her Masters of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Frontier Nursing University. As a Registered Nurse, Kathy has many years of experience in adult and pediatric emergency medicine in Portland, Oregon as well as emergency nursing at Cayuga Medical Center.  Kathy also worked for several years at Hospicare of Tompkins County as a Primary Nurse Case Manager. As part of her nurse practitioner training, Kahty completed a clinical rotation with Northeast Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine which secured her desire to work in the field of pediatrics.  She is licensed by the state of New York as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is a Certified Lactation Counselor.

Bryan Powell, PA

B PowellBryan Powell, PA, earned his Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lock Haven Unversity in Clearfield, Pennsylvania. Prior to that, Bryan earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Penn State University. Bryan brings a fresh perspective to Northeast Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and an enthusiasm for pediatric medicine. Bryan is licensed by the State of New York as a Physician Assistant.
